Great. _I_ look like a militia type. In fact, I am a militia type. I just don't belong to any militia organizations other than the inevitable NRA. In my area, there's not much need for militia unless there's a weather emergency. > > My son was fascinated with the > > shotgun shells that fire pins or chains or napalm instead of the customary > > pellets used for hunting. And thus it's more important now than it ever was, for all of the workers to be working for at least minimum wage and paying their taxes. And first thing that needs to happen is for all American workers to have jobs, or at least an opportunity for jobs. > > In Mexico almost 100 percent of the population supports America's > efforts in the war on terrorism. But these were legal residents, with "green cards"? No reasonable person should be so worried about "hispanics" in the US: remember, by definition, an "hispanic" is a person of any race or ethnicity, but whose cultural roots go back to Spain. Mexico can't be blamed for the sort of terrorism done by bin-Laden's al-Qaeda organization. But Mexico has, in recent years, promoted an Invasion of millions of illegals over our borders. For ever single illegal alien Mexico has sent into the US, that's one American who isn't going to get a job, unless they want to take the same pay as the illegal alien will get. Millions of illegal aliens from Mexico means millions of Americans without jobs. It may not be the same sort of terrorism as flying a plane into a skyscraper, but it is still very close to being an act of war. > I know that those militia wackos would not rise against our democratic > govt. If they ever did it, thier efforts would be futile. And they > would be immediatetly targeted as terrorists. It's not the mission of the militia to rise against a democratic Constitutional Republic; rather, their mission and sacred duty is to rise when the democratic Constitutuional Republic becomes an unConstitutional tyranny. Let's be very clear about this. > > I hope you can look at the issue from all angles and not instill fear > in your youth. I don't think it's wise to instill fear in American youth. However, I believe it's very realistic to prepare youth for all possibilities. All young citizens should be competent with a rifle by the time they approach military age, and at age 21 they should all be competent with a sidearm. But they absolutely must have a deep and abiding understanding of, and respect for, the Constitution of the United States (as amended), for Civility, and for Rule of Law. They should also be taught Critical Thought techniques, and should regularly be given intellectual challenges which teach them to weigh various issues and trends for themselves. For instance: what respect is one to have for "Rule of Law" which is, in truth, no rule of law, but rather a cynical masquerade pretending to be a government of laws, but which is in fact a tyranny of men? What respect is due to those who wear the trappings of power, but whose business dealings so badly compromise them that they find themselves publicly believed to have been paid-off by scammers who take down entire businesses and leave thousand or tens-of-thousands destitute of their life savings and all of their hopes for their childrens' futures? For instance: what respect is due to police who look the other way when foreign invaders run rampant through the land in contravention of international and national law, while aggressively pursuing citizens for possessing marijuana for personal use in their own homes? For instance: what respect is due to government which claims to derive its powers from the consent of the governed, yet which cynically uses the media to relentlessly crush dissenters, by demonizing the loyal and conscientious objectors to encroaching institutionalization of erosions of Constitutional rights? For instance: what respect is due to a government which cannot track the movements of known terrorists across its borders or within its cities, ports, and infrastructure support facilities -- yet which aggressively tracks and informs upon people who are attempting to exercise their rights under the Constitution's Second Amendment? For instance: what respect is due to a government which carries on multiple force projections overseas while leaving the role of Homeland Defense to the people that they allowed the media to demonize, the people whom they aggressively discourage from arming themselves to be the first responders in emergencies? What respect is due to a culture that doesn't find this risable? Well, to answer that last question, I guess the answer is: "the illegal aliens are all laughing at the US, as well they should; the US hears the laughter and further acts the clown". There are _reasons_ people are arming themselves for defense; the government has been shirking their defensive duties, to the point where 20 guys with boxcutters and a bold plan could devastate a major city, plunge the economy into ruin, and embarass an entire nation. Until and unless the government demonstrates that it's doing its job, people will continue to be vigilant, and to arm themselves for the next time that this nation's enemies rise against it from within. Because, as we all know, it's not going to be a mere 20 guys with boxcutters. Now _how many_ illegal aliens are already inside the borders of a country they despise?
